Film Supply

The brief.

Despite mainly working on the conceptual and design side of creative, I also lean into my video editing skillset when I can. It’s the story telling that has driven me to explore this craft and when FilmSupply released ‘EditFest’, it seemed like a good opportunity to stretch those creative muscles. The brief itself was to produce a 60 second fictional brand advertisement, using FilmSupply’s stock video and music libraries.

The outcome.

With such an open brief, I took the decision to explore a passion to help drive the overall concept of an idea. Using the sport of ice hockey as a theme, I went about exploring the libraries to see what options were available. It soon became clear the quality of these libraries were good enough to tell a story, which then simply needed a narrative behind it. From here two tracks were chosen for contrast before I looked into overlaying a voice over onto said clips. With AI now at the forefront I ran a self written script into a generator, giving me the tone of voice and dialect needed to help tell my story. With some editing, effects and self created brand, I was left with a final advertisement which I could be happy with to stand as a strong answer to the brief (see below).
